It is the second time for me to play her new songs so I think I could find a more deep interpretation.
The Impro was exciting too.
I feel I have found a way to make the place sound with acrostic ways.
Thank you so much for coming.
Next time I am playing with Mr.Syuici Cino on 8/19. It is the first time to play together so I don’t know what it will be like but I am really looking forward to it. Don’t miss it!
I went for a recording in Yamanakako for the Magazine [The Flute] special edition which will be out in September.
It is a development of the corner I run in the magazine about Jazz and Pops and I will be working for the whole magazine in this special edition.
As a learning part there will be explanations of articulation and feeling of the groove and about the jazz chords and how to improvise. Also we have recorded some songs which will be transcribed and be on paper even added a minus one so you can practice on it.
I was super lucky to be able to get the best members for this recording Mr.Yukihiro Atumi on guitar the leader and producer of thirdiq and Mr.Sohei Saito on Bass whom I truly relay and one of the best bass players I know.
I really would like to thank them!!
We only had a short time to record but thanks to the great support of the members and staff we managed to make something that I have no doubt of and I am really pleased.
I am looking forward to listen to it.
There is still more to do about the text and other stuff but I am relieved that we have finished one important part.
The next day we went to another radio (Just talking) and then went straight of to Kanazawa.
When it is the two of us we love sight seeing and always have trouble to get there in time but somehow we managed to get there early so we went to Kanazawa Nisi Cyaya and had some nice noodles and icecream.
At the gig we played Momo’s new originals composed for Green Blood.
It was a while since we last played and I felt that her expressions had become more and more larger.
A beautiful way of interpreting music using voice and pianica too.
It was very exciting.
Thank you so much for coming.
I am really looking forward to playing on 8/3 but before that there is a session in In F on the 26 of July.
I will be leading it but it is the only gig that we will be playing in Tokyo for this event so please don’t miss it!
I went to Toyama for the promotion of [Green Blood].
The title was named by Mr. Pavel Trenka whom we are performing together on 8/3.
It will be a concert with Momo’s original songs made from the inspiration of colors and Mr.Trenka’s video art.
I am hoping to express the joy and passion of the energy of life. We participated in a radio session for NHK Toyama and played two of Momo’s new songs [e-ah] and [kiiro]
They were both beautiful songs and I was very excited.
The photo is with Momo and the members of[M-cube] the chorus group whom we also had a session. It was a lot of fun!.
The second thing is I have been chosen to be a interviewer for the site you play jazz http://www.youplay-jazz.com/.
It will be on air form august and the other day we took the first movie for it.
The guest is Mr.Akira Oomori on Alto Sax.
He told me some very interesting stories and I was amazed how much creative he was at the same time respecting the history of jazz and he was such a beautiful personality.
There is a biography on his site http://www.geocities.jp/akiraja22/ which is really interesting. He is also a great writer.
The first combination was with Ms Akane Nakagaki from Nagoya and Ms Yukari Inoe on piano in Yoyogi Naru, second was with Ms Harumi Kaneko, Mr,Masaaki Imaizumi on piano Mr.Takayuki Doi on bass and Mr.Taro Koyama on drums in Ginza Swing.
It was a different development from instrumental music, very interesting and lots to learn.
Specially I was inspired with the power of Ms Harumi Kaneko to convey the joy and pleasure of Jazz.
I played with Mr.Koici Hiroki on Piano, Mr.Sohei Saito on Bass and Mr.Ryusaku Ikezawa on drums for two days first day in Kannai Barbarbar, second day in Numata So what.
I was surprised that there were many people from Tokyo in Numata. They come in the morning enjoy the nature, go in the onsen and listen to a jazz concert in the night.
What a wonderful plan! I would like to go to the onsen in Nuata one day.
I do not have many chances to be able to play as a quartet so I was very pleased to be able to play for 2 days.
We played both standards and originals and I felt that it was very close to what I am aiming for as a musical expression. I was quite excited. Thank you so much for coming!
