I played in In F with Mr. Hakuei Kim and Mr.Masaki Yosimi.
They both are wonderful musicians.
So much sensibility and beautiful interpretation.
I first played in In F a few months ago in MrToru Tenda’s group and when I look at the schedule of In F all the musicians I respect are playing here so I was very pleased that I got another chance to be able to play again.
We played to sets of improvised music (On both sets we played a song, 1st set Mr.Hakuei’s song called New Town, 2nd my song “What I heard in the water”
In my songs there are many free parts but actually I am not that used to playing 100percent free improvisation.
Still it turned out great fun!
The approach the two of them had was so interesting creating beautiful melodies at the moment. I think that it is a feeling only possible with live music.
Also I was astonished how they interpreted my song in such a short rehearsal and how beautiful they played it.
I am a great fan of Kana’s passionate phrasing and high class sound. She has a special power of connecting people and when you listen to her sound you can get the feeling that we are making music together. I have realized that I have a few phrases that I only play when Kana is there. Definitely I am inspired by her.
Also playing with Yukari is such a pleasure with her beautiful interpretation and expression. Luckily we could play a few times this month which was a great experience.
There are many repeaters of this trio. Please look forward to our next gig in August.
ゆかりさんのオリジナル[ Vision Of Crowed Horses] は名前の通り、馬をイメージして、書かれた曲との事。大草原をかける馬のごとく、壮大の曲で、馬好きの私としては、なんともたまらない曲でした。
ゆかりさんにしか出せないサウンドがとっても魅力的です。
「対話」もはじめてゆかりさんとDuo演奏しました。楽しかった。

I played Yukari’s original song [ Vision Of Crowed Horses] As you can imagine from the title it is a story about horses and it is as if you can see them running in a meadow. I love horses so it was great to be able to play that song.
It is a sound only Yukari can create.
We played [Dialog] for the first time as a Duo and it was great fun.
The way Mr.Mizutani builds up his sound creating a world of each individual player is very unique and probably the only person to be able to create such music.
Everyone in the band are great musicians and specially Mr.Nakamure’s guitar is amazing.
There is one of my song’s arrangement included in this CD.
It never occurred to me that I would be able to play that song in such a gorgeous sound.
I played in Mr.Yosuke Yamasita’s new quartet as a guest.
I thought that maybe I will be playing only a little bit as a guest but actually I was given the chance to play 4 original songs as a feature guest.
It was the first time for the members to play my songs (except Mr.Yamasita) but I think they had a beautiful interpretation and very energetic playing.
Also I played a duo with Mr.Yamasita (dialog) and as usual so impressed how beautiful, delicate and striking playing.
The second half I joined in the new quartet’s repertory.
The members were playing very strong phrases and I was inspired a lot from them.
I played in a shopping mall runned by Toyota about 15min by bus from Sinyokohama or O-okayama.
It was a holiday so there were a lot of people and a great chance to get heard where people that do not often go to Jazz clubs.
I played with Mr.Atumi Yukihiko the leader of Thirdiq which I play in too and also a great producer.
He is one of my favorite guitarists.
The type of musicians I like are people that have a strong message and the great thing about that type of a musician is that usually they also have the talent to understand what the other person wants to say and can give all the support.
I really don’t care about what type the music is but me and Mr.Atumi are somewhat different in style but his playing is so free sprit and beautiful and there is a lot to learn from it.
This day we played standards and originals and there were some very good moments.
During our playing I found a little angel listening behind the pole.
I hope she enjoyed it.
