17:00〜18:00 入場無料 (定員六十名) -------------------------- I had a rehearsal for the Tamagawa Art line. It is an event for modern art and many contemporaly artists are involved in it.
I will be playing mostly my originals and the members are great too so I am looking forward a lot to it.
I went to a meeting with the dancer Ms.Airi Suzuki for her project [Body Treatment] in Coendori Classics
It will be dance and music for ones heart and body. I shall be writing music for it now and the members are great so I am looking forward a lot to it. I will let you know when there is some more news.
I took photos for my new CD. It is with Mr. Takimoto the cameraman and Mr.Maruono the designer.
The cover will be a picture which is drawen by Anjuli who has done the work for this home page too.
I have seen her work for this CD and it is just great!!!
I am really looking forward to what it will become.
The photo we took today is for inside the CD. Hair Make was by Ms.Morimoto a great stylist and owner of the salon choosy'choosey and in a relaxed good stuation we could do our work.
21st was a duo with Momo. Her originals are amazing. now I am planning for my 2nd CD release tour and probably I can invite her as a guest for Kanazawa and Toyama and I am looking forward to it a lot.
22nd I played in Yonaru. I love Ms.Murase's voice and always wish I could play better in the background. Yukari's music was beautiful and creative and I really enjoyed it.
The birthday cake I was kindly given. After we finished playing Nao and Sohei sang me a birthday song. Having a birthday cake with candles is so nice. Thank you so much.
We will be playing again in Gate One next January.
I played in Yurigaoka Modern Jazz Q with Mr.Kowa on guitar. I love Mr.Kowa’s Originals and he had a beautiful new song and I enjoyed it very much. It was an event with many bands and I was surprised that there were many Jazz fans in Yurigaoka.
I played in Apple in Kannai with Mr.Michishita on Guitar. He was amazing as usual and there was a lot to learn from. Apple is 3sers and since I have not been eating I had good concentration to the end. It is a hard conclusion for me because I love eating but I guess it is better not to eat before playing.
I played in Roppongi Sweet Basil as a member of phonolite leaded by Mr.Hiroaki Mizutani. It was an event of Ms Akemi Ohta (flutist)’s band Risk factor’s CD release gig. It was a happy opportunity being the same flutist and I really hope that the Jazz flute world will get more and more active!! Her CD is really cool and I recommend it a lot!
The first half was with Risk Factor second half was with phonolite. I really respect Mr.Mizutani for all his effort to put up all this great music!
Now I am challenging a Yoga Fasting course which is one week including decreasing and getting back to my usual eating habits. Luckily yesterday and today was the days when we eat nothing so I could start my new year with a very clean inside body.
My way of eating seemed to be bad like eating in the middle of the night after gigs and now doing the fasting my body feels full of energy and it is a great feeling.
It is nearly 4 years since I have become a professional musician. There is still a lot I can’t do but I will like to keep challenging new things. Next year I will be playing a lot with dancers so my theme might be [Health and Jazz]
I am realizing that improvised music is really good for the mind and the body!!
Thank you so much for all the support till now and I really hope that it will continue.
I played in Orie’s group in Mocomoco. The pianist was Ms Ikumi Sirato whom I played with for the first time. Orie chose the songs and most of them I played for the first time. I learn a lot from Orie not only music but ways to enjoy life. Mr.Ito the cellist whom we studied at the same university came to sit in and we had a session with 2 cellos. It was great. At university we both attened Ms Dana Hanchard’s vocal lesson. And the next day (today) I just ran in to her by chance at ogikubo on the way to the yoga lesson. It was just aftet the amazing encounterwith Ma.Keiko Toge in Guam so I am excited
I haven’t been writing this blog for a while but many things happened this week.
Musically the big event was that I played in Yokohama Jazz Promenade.
The name of the session was SATURDAY JATP and all the members except me were super famous jazz musicians and I don’t know why I was in it but it was a great experience,
Specially I was astonished by Mr.Hideto Kanai and Mr.Nao Takeuchi. They are my aim.
The other big event was that I went to Guam to get a license for Scuba Diving. Guam is the most cheapest place in the world to get a license and it was so much fun. The sea was beautiful and I definitely want to go again.
Also there was an miracle encounter. I met Miss Keiko Touge whom was in Guam for a show just by chance. I thought I would only be diving but it turned out to meet Keiko and her wonderful friends and we had a great time.
I played at yoyogi Naru with Yukari and Ms.Kana Hiramatsu for the first time. Many of their Mixi fans came and it was a exciting session. Kana’s violin was high class and passionate. It was my first time to play with musicians who play Spanish music and I enjoyed it a lot.
I played with Dana and Mr.Michishita whom both of them I am a great fan and also Mr.Jun Satsuma came to sit in and it became a very fun session. Dana’s original songs are beautiful but I have to really listen carefully to how the music is going so it was a very fresh and important experience. I hope we can play together again!
