I played a duo in sinjyuku T’s bar with Mr.Mizutani. I love playing duo with out chord instruments. Mr.Mizutani’s bass is very interesting and there is so many approaches when I try something it comes back about the double time and it was great fun!!
T's Bar is where Mr.Mizutani and the owner of Sinjyuku Pit inn and all there friends gather and drink and it was a very nice atmosphier. After we played I enjoyed talking to them but I had to leave because of the last train which was a shame.
I played in the Ramen square in Tachikawa Arearea. It was a duo with Mr.Mizutani. Since the recording it was my while since I played in a noisy place and I felt that I was brought back to reality. Any way Mr. Mizutani’s bass was amazing and I enjoyed the gig very much.
We are playing a duo on the 25th again and I came up with many ideas I would like to try then.
This is on the roof of ichys building where we had the hello goodbye project. It is the perfect place to see the Jingu fireworks but I had to leave because I was playing in the evening. Anyway it was great because I could meet Rena and all the members of the Hello Goodbye project.
I have finished my recording of my 2nd leader album at last.
The members are Mr.Yosuke Yamashita as a executive producer Mr.Hiroaki Mizutani as a producer and bassist. Mr.Akira Sotoyama on drums and Mr.Tuneo Imahori on guitar.
I am a great fan of all of them and it was a dream come true that we could record together.
I have written all the songs this time. Since it was the first time for everyone to play my music which I have never played yet either I was worried what it will be like but it turned out great and if you think about how great the musicians are it is normal that the music was great but I was so pleased how toe world widened.
The recording went very well and we managed to finish the recording and the mixing in 3 days. What was great was that I learned how important the mixing is this time.
I was thinking that it will be coming out next year but things has went very well and I think we will be able to sell it by the end of November.
This time my friend and great artist Anjuli is going to do the drawing for the jacket and I am looking forward to what it will be like!!.
There is still a lot of things to do but I would really like to thank all the people that helped me do this recording. Thank you so much!!!
When I received the music about 2 months ago I was worried if I would be able to play because it was very difficult but now I have finished I feel relived.
The music was one of the loudest gigs I had experienced but it felt very comfortable
There were so many new discoveries I would really like to thank Mr.Imahori and all the members for helping me..
I played with Mr.Kowa on Guitar in Modan Jazz Q. It was the second time to play with Mr.Kowa and I feel I could understand the music better than the last time.
Mr.Kowa’s original songs are so beautiful it is a great joy to be able to play such great music but I need to practice more!!
Mr. Jonas Ganzemüller whom was on a trip to Japan came to sit in in the Gate one session. We had only exchanged e-mails and it was the first time for us to meet and this kind of meeting makes me think how the world is getting closer and closer. He told me that he was playing mostly in Holland and it was interesting to hear what the Jazz scene was like in Europe.
It was my friend Airi who is a dancer who was living in NY but now back in Japan for the preparation to go to Europe who has introduced us and we are hoping to do something together while she is in Japan and I will let you know when something is decided.
I played with Mr.Michishita and Momo in Gh9. I had mostly only played Momo’s Originals in Duo so it was interesting to play with a guitar included. I love Momo’s songs. Also I love Mr.Michisita’s songs too and I am hoping that we will play tougher.
I played in café clair in Nishiarai. The pianist whom I played for the first time Mr. Hiroki is a wonderful pianist composer and also playes Japanese bamboo flute. Just by chance I person who was a bamboo flute maker was in the audience and was kind enough to bring all sorts of types to show us. I love the sound of the bamboo flute and have tried it before but couldn’t get any sound at that time so hoping that some thing good will happen this time ,,,but I still could not make any sound What surprised me was that everybody but me could get a sound out of it but me.
