The acoustic trio was so exciting! There were many great moments and I really enjoyed it. I felt like the whole live house became to one and after I got home I still was too excited to sleep and I ended up eating too much potato chips again. I must be care full. It may be because of the potato chips but after I played a very good gig I find it hard to get uo in the morning. I think that not only developing my ear and feeling of music, I must be careful for my condition of my body too.
After playing I managed to have a very interesting conversation with Mr.Mashine. He was explains why acoustic feels good and there was a lot to learn from.
The photo is with Nao and Mr.Mashine. I really must thank them.
23th I played with Nao on guitar in 491 house. People in Yokohama are used to listening to live music and a very nice situation for jazz musicians.
24th I played with Mr.Tomoya Hara in blue flame in Hiroo. We have played a number of times and my repertoire is increasing. I go to the same hairdresser as Mr.Hara. Our hair stylist is called morrimoccyann. I really trust her and am eager to challenge new hair styles now.
The photo is with Mr.Hara and the staff of blue flame. Blue flame is full of the good feeling for music and a very warm atmosphere. The food is very nice so I recommend here.
Tomorrow is my leader gig in Asagaya. The master of Klavier is keen to widen the audience of jazz and we have a student reduction. It is an achoustic trio and I hope to see you there.
I played in Mr.Atsumi’s band Thirdiq in club aisia. I am trying to play in more creative places than jazz clubs so it was a good chance. It was mainly original songs and very exciting. There was a jam session at the end of the event but I couldn’t play well so I am angry for my self but the band was good so I will keep trying.
We all were a student of Mr.Michishita. Students from the university I went gathered this day and became a friendly session. When I was a student Mr.Michishita would always encourage us and he gave us lots of energy. I am so happy to be able to play with him now and I think all the musicians here tonight are the same feeling as me. We hadn’t played as story tellers for a while so there were many new discoveries.
It is he 5th time for us to play in cafe clair. I really will like to thank so much for the master and audience that gave supporrt. There is a very strong stasifaction after playing in Shibauma because there is so much to do in this DUO. It is deddinetly a special world and worth all the work. Our next gig is on 9/9 in cafe clair.
I played in Nao’s trio in Teisyaba. It was my first time to be able to go there but I had always heard about it from my friends so I was glad to be able to go there at last. There is always some pressure and joy to go to new places and going to different places everyday is very interesting. I was also glad that I could play with out any PA. Teisyaba’s system is that they don’t take any music charge but the audience has to give tips to the musicans. Japanese aren’t used to giving tips so I don’t like this system but I shall see how it goes. Maybe I will change or the jazz world in Japan might change.
The next day I played in Gateone first time with out the drums. I could play with out the mike also here too so I was pleased. Nao the leader from yesterday came to sit in Also Shinji and Mariko the owner couple are great musicians, they both joined in and Yuuka a samba singer happened to be there too so a lot of musicans were there. Unfortunately there were not many audience there which was a shame but I still enjoyed it.
I was relaxing at home and suddenly my phone wrings and I was asked to play as a sub on today because the leader lost her voice. So I rushed straight to barbarbar.Normally there is all the preparation but this time I didn’t have to think anything so I could purely enjoy the music. The member was the trio of Ms.Tomomi Fukui. Our first note we play on stage is our first contact but from the beginning I could relax and play which means that the members are great musicians and I felt so lucky to be able to play with them. I was very happy until I got home and saw the e-mail from one of the readers of this blog. From that e-mail I realized that in one of the past articles there was one that could be taken differently what I meant. I shall be careful to make sure to divide the photos and sentences so there will be no more misunderstanding so I hope you will keep your support.
Hello Did you have a nice Golden week? I went to Yoga classes and spent a lot of time just for my self feeling very refreshed now. I have been talking a lot about Yoga on this blog so I would like to tell you so there is no misunderstanding but I am really bad with sports. But last year I changed my mind and decided to become to like sports. That's why I am just happy to be able to go to Yoga classes. It is a very short pace but I feel that my body is changing. I am sure that it is giving a good effect for my flute playing.
Also I am in to nature sounds. Being a musician I find it hard to relax when I am in town because there is always some Jazz as a BGM and when I hear it I start thinking about my music and then get tired. Recently I discovered that they sell CD with only nature sounds in such as sounds of wave, river and forest. Having these sounds as back ground music helps me to really concentrate.
Yesterday I played with Yukari and Noriko in Yoyogi Naru. I have written before but they are both very beautiful but powerfull players and it means a lot to the Japanese Jazz scene that there are this type of musicans. There is a lot to learn from the two of them.
I played in the promenade concert in Kawasaki City museum. It is a good occasion to be heard by people that do not daily listen to Jazz. It was great weather and in a very open and clean stage I could play in a very good condition.
I really wanted to ask Yukari to play in this concert because I knew she is a great fan of the bosendorfer piano and there is a special model there. My flute has a extra low half note and the piano has 9 extra low half notes so both the instruments has a deep sound and Yukari was using a lot of those low notes and I really enjoyed it.
I will really like to play in this kind of place again. Thank you so much for coming today.
I played in Abbey Road for the first time with Mr.Shintaro Nakamura and Mr.Sinji Hashimoto. I was as a guest and only playing half of the sets so I felt lucky but I realized that I needed so much energy to get up on stage after the two amazing musicians played
It was a great treat to be able to play with such amazing musicians for me
I played in Syuntaro band. I get a lot of energy from him. I really respect Ms.Keiko Toge the singer tonight. She is living in Guam now and I would love to go there and get a license for scuba diving. Keiko has a strong world of her own and all the audience became one.
