The three really sute hats. We played in Yonaru. Today in the audience there was someone who told me that she wanted to start Jazz flute which made me very happy. Sessions are fun but I really need some time to think about my own music. I am playing in Yonaru with Mr.Nakamure on guitar and Mr.Sase on bass on 12/12. It is a great combination and I really recommended it.
The second day of MiyanoMiyako. It was my first time to play in fussa but the lovely staff and the very at home atmosphere it was a very happy time for me.
Ｉ participated in Asagaya Jazz street. Nao the Guitar player whom I really trust and respect was amazing as usual and I really enjoyed it. I would really like to thank all the audience and the master of tapiola. Also matsumonica the harmonica player came to sit inn which was a great. The photo was taken by Aki Fujii who I recently met another great encounter.
We had the joy of having a surprise birthday cake. Akemi’s birthday is on the 20th mine is 18th. Our age is 1 year different so we get 1 day to be the same age. This year I had a great birthday.
３ Flute sisters. I could not attend 1 day for rehearsal so Toyomi Kobayashi went as my sub for the day. She managed to get a part to participate on the gig so I was glad to hear that. She is so cute. Also there were a few students from Senzoku and really nice to meet people with a lot of energy.
I am sorry that I forgot my camera in pit inn the other day so I haven’t been putting up any photo’s. Now I have got it back so I shall put up some photos.( The days are in disorder)
We asked the staff to wear the afro hair wigs too. I think they both really look good with it. Zimagine is an unusuall place a little like a theme park but very comftable. I am sure it is because of that delicious ham and cheese．
Our First night of Miyano Miyako 2 days. This photo is to show that jazz isn’t any difficult music and for people to enjoy but what we play is just normal music. It would be better for me if we could play more jazz songs but Hiroko specializes in Brazlian music and the songs she chooses are unusual for me so an interesting experience.
Story tellers in Kamakura Daphne. Playing with the amazing guitarist Mr. Michishita is so inspiring and also gives me a lot of energy. Mr.Satsuma a guitarist who lives nearby came along and we had a great session. Recently I have a guitar boom inside me. A can see a lot of possibilities with the combination with the flute and looking forward to it.
I will never forget Mr.Mizutani’s 3 days in shinjyuku pit inn. All 3 days had a different concept and so many members I think only Mr.Mizutani could handle such a big project. I had a lot of chances to play as a part of a section which had a lot to learn from. I would really like to thank Mr. Mizutani and hope he gets a good rest. Also really hope he will plan it again!
In the day time I had session with Momoko Hayashi(P) who had just came back from NY. We rehearsed her amazing originals which were so sophisticated and inspiering. We are planning a gig and I really reccomend it so please lookforward to it.
In the night I played at Candy in Hiroko Miyano's group. Her originals are beautiful and interesting too.
Today in the day time I went to the elementary school I used to go to. I am having a school concert here in 1 month’s time. I planed it so I could feel how I come to love music and today sitting in the music class I realized how important the day’s music lessons when I was little were. I was always looking forward to the music classes.
I really hope that I can convey the joy of music specially improvisation to the children. I am planning to have some of them to join in and really looking forward to what will come out.
In the night I played in Ms.Keiko Yamami’s band in Cygnas. I wasn’t sure that I was in the right stuation because the style of music was a little different from what I normally do but it was a great experience. I am a great fan of mr. Yuji Miyano the saxophone player and really happy to be able to play togher.
I went to Tapiora where I am playing on the 28th with Nao to have some tea. The tea here is delicious. I went to get the leaf outs for the 28th. The master has thought a quite interesting catch copy for this day one that I wouldn’t think by my self. I shall keep it a secret just for the people who see the hand out.
My first time to play in 491 house just by the China town. It is like a Matryoshka doll once you go in there is another roof inside but by the wall is like you are in a pirate ship, a very interesting space. Still very comfortable.
There is very few space in the counter where we play packed with 3 people and the audience are so close just about 50cm. I was worried that they might find it uncomfortable but they seemed to be listening really concentrated so I felt that I have found a new type of communication. 491 dosen’t take any cover charge but the music blended in really well in the air and I felt I founded a new type of communication. I am playing with Nao a couple of times this mounth!
Syuntaro’s band is always fun. Today we played with Keiko Toge. I was thinking why Keiko’s music has such a strong message and I realized that it must be because her personality comes straight through her voice. When we play togher it is like we are having a conversation a very deep one but the way she handles it is so sweet. With the power of Keiko and Syuntaro we had a full house.
Yesterday’s barbarbar was my leader gig. I realy respect matsumonica fot the way he makes music, Me.Kusunoki’s playing is full of soul Mr,Saito’s bass has a really artistic approach and Mr. Okabe creates a really interesting background with this machine I don’t know it’s name but gives the music such a color. I wish I could accompany somebody like that. It is a great joy to be able to play with these members. I am so happy to be able to play tougher. Thank you so much for coming.
